Two restaurants: Lemaire and T.J.’s, as well as 24-hour full menu room service. Lemaire is a 118-seat fine-dining establishment comprised of a eight individual and intimate dining areas. It is named for Thomas Jefferson’s White House maitre d’hotel, who introduced the art of cooking with wine to America. Lemaire’s menu is a reflection of Thomas Jefferson’s keen interest in cooking and a true celebration of southern taste. The Jefferson has recently added a Victorian glass-enclosed conservatory that fronts historic Franklin Street. For more casual dining, T.J.’s restaurant offers lunch, dinner, late-night fare and cocktails, with an engaging view of the Rotunda’s hustle and bustle.
