The non-profit Distinguished Restaurants of North America, founded in 1990, launched the DiRöNa Award Program in 1992 to award restaurants that exemplify the hghest quality standards in all aspects of the dining experience. The DiRöNa Award Inspection Program is the only independent and anonymous restaurant inspection program in North America, and includes a 75-point inspection conducted by trained industry professionals.
