In 1895, the first guests to ascend the now legendary Grand Staircase of The Jefferson Hotel were the wedding guests of the nationally known beauty Irene Langhorne and the artist Charles Dana Gibson. The Jefferson now sets the standard for Richmond weddings.  Professional Catering Managers will assist you in making all of your wedding dreams come true and execute every detail to your specification.  Our elegant ballrooms can accommodate up to 360 guests for a seated dinner or 450 guests for a reception while Lemaire Restaurant offers a more intimate setting for rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons and wedding brunches.  

Our culinary team will work, in conjunction with your Catering Manager, to tailor a menu to your preferences.  The Jefferson is also known for its extraordinary wedding cakes, created on-site by our team of pastry chefs and customized to the very last detail.  Our service staff has been trained to anticipate your guests every need.  

As our gift to brides and grooms hosting their wedding reception with The Jefferson, you will receive a complimentary secured room for your wedding gifts and your complimentary deluxe accommodations on wedding night, complete with champagne.  Brides also have the exclusive privilege of having their wedding portraits taken on the Grand Staircase or in other locations of your choice within the hotel. 

Special room rates may be established for your out-of-town guests.  Your Catering Manager can assist you in contacting a Sales Manager for rates and availability.  The Wedding Rooms Coordinator can then assist you with all of the details of your room block, from welcome gift deliveries and executive coach rental to rooming list coordination. 

The Jefferson Hotel is pleased to also offer the services of Blooms at The Jefferson and The Salon at The Jefferson.  Our goal is to provide you with a full complement of services for your special day, all coordinated by a dedicated Catering Manager.  For those services that we are not able to provide on-site, your Catering Manager can assist you with recommendations from our list of trusted Richmond vendors.
