Lemaire Sous Chef

Job Responsibilities

Assist Executive Chef in directing, scheduling, training and accountability of both the culinary and stewarding departments

Candidate must be innovative, detail oriented, quality conscious and aware of new trends in presentation and preparation and be able to cost out recipes

Supervises all cooking operations in Executive Chef’s absence, including methods of preparation, portion control and garnishing; ensures attractive presentation of all food and dishes.

Hires, trains and provides career development for subordinates; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees.

Schedules all employees in kitchen department to maintain adequate staffing levels while adhering to labor standards
 
Promote departmental teamwork, professional work habits and a good work environment

Assists sales, catering and banquet staffs with banquets, parties and other special events

Job Requirements

Minimum of five years in the culinary profession, of which two years must be at a Sous Chef level is preferred

Knowledge of special dietary needs, such as vegetarian, low salt, low cholesterol, and diabetic

Previous luxury hotel or upscale restaurant experience preferred

Experience in payroll procedures, purchasing and cost controls

Must be well-organized, even tempered, multi-task oriented, quick thinking and fair minded.

Knowledge of Food, Cooking techniques, leadership skills (Management or strong Supervisory skills)

Preferrably Sous Chef Experience

TJ's Server

FT/ PT: Part Time

Shift Hours: Shift starts at 5:45am - 3:00pm

Responsible for exceptional breakfast/lunch service in our relaxed dining restaurant.  Experience in a full service restaurant environment required, knowledge of beer, liquors, and wines a plus.  Excellent people and communication skills a must!  Must work weekends and holidays.

Pastry Cook

FT/ PT: Full Time

Shift Hours: Shift starts at 9:00am

Openings: 1

Candidate requires a minimum of 1-2 years' experience with pastries.
Responsible for the production of all pastry, bakery items for Banquets, Lemaire and TJ's Restaurants, and Tea Service. This includes the production of wedding cakes, confections, breads, or any other specialty.

Lemaire Bartender/Lounge Server

Garde Manger - Banquets

Gift Shop Attendant

FT/ PT: Part Time

Shift Hours: Shifts Vary 7am-1pm or 1pm-7pm

Openings: 1

Responsible for friendly, courteous service to all guests in Gator’s Gift Shop. Must be comfortable handling numerous guest requests. Must maintain proper cash handling procedures. Must have excellent communication and verbal skills to include Sales abilities. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Housekeeping Manager

FT/ PT: Full Time

Openings: 1

Assists the Director of Housekeeping with long and short-term objectives to ensure the cleanliness, upkeep and appearance of the public and back of the house areas. Supervision of all areas of Housekeeping including day to day housekeeping function,  turndown service and the hotel laundry operation. Responsible for all controllable expenses including, but not exclusively: guest supplies and amenities, cleaning supplies, room’s linen, equipment and machinery, and the hotel laundry room. Responsible for housekeeping labor expense. Indirectly responsible for identifying engineering issues in both the guestrooms and public areas and follow through.  Interviews and supervises all hotel housekeeping and laundry personnel. Assists with the evaluation and review of all housekeeping employees.  Assists in ensuring work schedules are prepared for effective staffing, ensuring efficient operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments within specific labor standards and budgetary constraints. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff, verbally and written.  Must be well rounded in all areas of Housekeeping and Laundry operations ensuring an exceptional product for our guests.  Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably at a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Doorman/Bellman

Will greet all arriving and departing guests from the hotel using the Five Diamond/Five Star standards.  Assist arriving guests w/ luggage and escort them to the Front Desk.  May also assist valet with parking and retrieving guest vehicles. Must be able to operate automaticand manual vehicles safely. Must provide a driving record (0-+ points) and a valid Virginia Driver's license. Must possess excellent communication skills.   To be considered, you must be DEPENDABLE, WELL GROOMED, CLEAN CUT and NEAT IN APPEARENCE. The position seeks to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.

 

Security Agent

FT/ PT: Part Time

Shift Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm or 3:30-11:30pm

Responsible for Safety and Security of Hotel Guests, employees and property. Must have a background in Security, Military or Police. Must possess excellent Customer Service Skills, diplomacy and good communications skill (oral and written.) Must possess strong work ethic and honesty and integrity must be above reproach.

Room Attendant

FT/ PT: Full Time

Shift Hours: 8:00am until finished - Must be fully flexible

Openings: 6

Position provides the hotel with the proper cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and assigned work areas. Will include attending to assigned areas that need attention. Must have Strong housekeeping experience. Excellent people skills and communication skills a must!

Turndown Attendant

FT/ PT: Part Time

Shift Hours: 5:00pm - Until Finished

Openings: 2

Position provides the hotel with the proper cleaning, servicing and turning down of beds during the evening. Must be friendly, accommodating and attentive. Must be able to physically perform position including lifting up to 30 lbs, standing and walking continuously. Previous work experience required.

Midnight Bellman

FT/ PT: Part Time

Shift Hours: 11:00pm - 7:00am

Will assist in overseeing the operation of a busy Housekeeping department. Must have 4 to 5 years hospitality experience. Preferably management or supervisory experience in a full service hotel property. Must be team oriented, achieve goals and be fully flexible to work any day of the week, weekends & Holidays.
