Online Reservations Now Available for Afternoon Tea
By popular demand, we are delighted to announce that reservations for Afternoon Tea at The Jefferson can now be made online using Tock.
All future holiday and special event teas will be online reservations only. Reservations are non-refundable.
Please note that your credit card will now be charged for Afternoon Tea at the time of booking.
The Jefferson's Southern Afternoon Tea is served Friday and Saturday with seatings between 12:00pm and 4:15pm on the Mezzanine balcony overlooking the Rotunda. Reservations open at 8am exactly 90 days in advance.
Royal Tea on August 11 is sold out but you can be added to the waitlist on Tock.
Halloween Tea will be served on Sunday, October 20 and reservations will open on Tock at 8am on Monday, August 5.

Chocolate Lover’s Tea
- Served every first and third Saturday of each month (see exceptions above).
- Our full tea service above as well as a selection of decadent chocolate desserts.
- $50.00 plus tax and gratuity, per person
Children's Menu
- Available every day that tea is served for children ages 4-8.
- $40.00 plus tax and gratuity, per child for Afternoon Tea
- $45.00 plus tax and gratuity, per child for Chocolate Lover's Tea
- Children age 3 and under dine at no charge unless a specialty menu is requested. One paying adult per child under 3 please.
Specialty Menus
A gluten free menu is available at an additional charge of $6.00 per person. Specialty menus like nut or dairy free menus are available at an additional charge of $4.00 per person. Please select these options at the time of reservation.
Celebratory Beverages
An afternoon tea cocktail menu as well as a full selection of wines and sparkling wines is available for purchase.
Parking
Guests of afternoon tea are invited to self-park at no charge. Valet parking is also available at a cost of $18.00.
Parties of 25 or More
We are happy to serve tea Monday through Thursday for parties of 25 or more guests if the space is available. Please call 804-649-4710 for availability.
NEW Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking the reservation. Reservations are non-refundable. Changes to the number of guests on all reservations must be received seven (7) days prior to your reservation to receive a refund of your prepayment. For groups of 21 or more a contract will be required.
Holiday Tea
Holiday Tea is served in celebration of Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father’s Day, and all teas during the winter holiday season when the hotel is decorated for Christmas
(November 29, 2024 - January 4, 2025). Chocolate Lovers Tea will be served December 6th, 13th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 27th, 28th and 31st as well as January 3rd and 4th, 2025 for the holiday season.

Reservations for all holiday teas can be made online ONLY. Please see our Reservation Tips below for more information on our winter holiday teas served November 29, 2024 - January 4, 2025 when the hotel is decorated for Christmas. Reservations will open online at 8:00am EST exactly 90 days in advance of the tea date you wish to reserve.

Reservations for Halloween Tea on Sunday, October 20 will open at 8am on Monday, August 5 online only.
Reservations for Holiday Teas on November 29, 2024 through January 4, 2025 will open at 8:00am EST exactly 90 days out online only.
Reservations for Santa Teas on Saturday, December 7 and Thursday, December 19 will open at 8:00am EST on Tuesday, October 1 online only.
NEW CANCELLATION POLICY FOR HOLIDAY TEAS
Full payment is required at the time of booking the reservation. Changes to the number of guests and reschedules on all reservations must be received seven (7) days prior to your reservation.
RESERVATION TIPS:
- Reservations must be made online. Unfortunately, our team will not be able to assist you with reservations via telephone, social media, email or in person.
- Online reservations will open at 8:00am EST exactly 90 days prior for all tea reservations.
- Please have your credit card ready to complete your online booking. Your credit card will be charged for your afternoon tea experience at the time the reservation is made.
- Reservations are non-transferable.
- Holiday teas are not served on Sunday.
- Reservation changes can also be made via Tock prior to the 7-day cancellation cutoff and based upon availability.
- Once all reservations have been booked for a holiday or special event tea, you will be provided the opportunity to be placed on a waitlist via Tock.
- Guests requesting reservations for parties of 21 or more must call 804-649-4710 to confirm and sign a contract for their booking.
