Decorations

The hotel will be decorated for the holidays Monday, November 30, 2026 through Sunday, January 3, 2027. The hotel will be adorned with hundreds of live poinsettias, thousands of twinkling lights, hundreds of yards of garland, and dozens of wreaths.  Signature displays will be created on the Grand Staircase, in the Circle Drive and in the Palm Court lobby, along with more than 20 smaller trees placed throughout the hotel.  The breathtaking centerpiece, the 30-foot Christmas tree in the Rotunda, will be embellished with hundreds of oversized ornaments, bows and baubles, along with too many white twinkle lights to count.  

The annual Jefferson Gingerbread display will also be available throughout the season for guests to enjoy.  This year’s theme will again be a surprise until its unveiling on Monday, November 30 but we can promise all the delightful smells of freshly baked gingerbread and royal icing, the impeccable details created by hundreds of pounds of individually placed candies and the sweet memories that you have enjoyed in years past.  

Lemaire Holiday Dining

Thanksgiving: Guests will have their choice of a traditional Thanksgiving four-course holiday menu or select items from the a la carte dinner menu.  Seatings are available from 1pm-8pm.  THANKSGIVING RESERVATIONS IN LEMAIRE ARE SOLD OUT.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: Holiday specials and the regular a la carte dinner menu will be offered.  Seatings are available from 5pm-9pm on Christmas Eve and 1pm-8pm on Christmas Day.  Lemaire Bar will close at 10pm on Christmas Eve.  

New Year’s Eve: Celebratory specials and the regular a la carte dinner menu will be served on New Year’s Eve with seatings from 5pm-10pm. Lemaire Bar will be serving from 4pm-12:30am and seating will be offered first come, first served.  

Complimentary self-parking for Lemaire guests will be offered on a space available basis in the Main Street parking lot located between Adams and Jefferson Streets.  Please ask the host or your server for a parking validation ticket before leaving the restaurant.      

Reservations for Lemaire dining may be made online through OpenTable or by calling 804-649-4629.  Advance reservations are required for all guests.  Overnight guests are invited to call for holiday breakfast reservations or to request those at the time of making a room reservation.

Lemaire Bar and Lounge

Join us in Lemaire Bar & Lounge for cocktails and appetizers or one of our famous bar burgers.  Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the holiday season.  

^{NEW FOR 2026:} Guests will need a room reservation, dining reservation, or a private event invitation to join us in the bar and lounge after 4pm on Fridays and on Saturdays throughout the holiday season.  

TJ’S Bar and Lounge

Enjoy the view of the tree while sipping a festive cocktail or mocktail, a draft from your favorite local brewery, or one of our curated wines by the glass. 

TJ’s Bar and Lounge will be serving beverages and a seasonal limited menu from 11am – 9pm Tuesday through Saturday.  Seating in the bar and lounge is available on first come, first served. 

TJ’s Bar and Lounge will be closed on Sundays and Mondays, as well as on Christmas Day.

^{NEW FOR 2026}: Guests will need a room reservation, dining reservation, or a private event invitation to join us after 4pm on Fridays or on Saturdays.  TJ’s Restaurant will not be serving lunch or dinner this holiday season.

^Seating
Brunch reservation times are 10:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 1:30pm.  
Brunch seating is available in three areas:

The Rotunda (Downstairs) is the area at the bottom of the Grand Staircase with the buffet around its perimeter.  
TJ’s Lounge is a more intimate space located next to the Rotunda.  Please note that some seating in TJ’s Lounge is raised by two steps.  
The Mezzanine (Upstairs) is the balcony overlooking the Rotunda.  Guests can use the elevator or the Grand Staircase to visit the buffet.

^Menu
Our Executive Banquet Chef and his team feature the freshest local seasonal ingredients as they craft holiday inspired menus each week of the season.  Stations include made-to-order omelets, breakfast items, carving station, soup station, Virginia seafood display, lunch items, fruit and cheese display and a decadent display of desserts and miniature confections.

Complimentary self-parking for brunch guests will be offered on a space available basis in the Main Street parking lot located between Adams and Jefferson Streets.  Please ask the host or your server for a parking validation ticket before leaving the restaurant.  

^{Dress Code}
There is no dress code for brunch.  Guests are invited to dress as they are most comfortable, but you will find that most of our guests prefer to dress up for the occasion.  

^{Payment and Cancellations}
Full payment is required at the time of booking the reservation. Cancellations and changes to the number of guests on all reservations must be received seven (7) days prior to your reservation to receive a refund of your prepayment.

^{Reservation Tips:}

• Reservations must be made online for groups of 12 and under. Unfortunately, our team will not be able to assist you with making reservations via telephone, social media, email, or in person.
• Groups requesting reservations for parties of 13+, please call 804-649-4662 or email [email protected] for assistance.  Parties larger than 12 will require more than one table.
• Online reservations will open exactly 90 days prior to each reservation date, including the day of your reservation, at 8:00am EST.  If you are logged in prior to 8am, you will need to refresh your browser.
• Please have your credit card ready to complete your online booking. Your credit card will be charged for your holiday brunch experience at the time the reservation is made.
• Gift cards cannot be used to book holiday brunches but can be brought to your brunch event to receive a refund for the gift card amount.
• Once you input your total number of guests (including all children) and select the correct event/date, you can select seating arrangements and time.  If you don't include the total number of guests, the table may not be able to accommodate everyone.  
• Reservations are non-transferable.
• Each reservation has a two-hour seating limit.  
• Brunches are only served on Sunday except for Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.
• Cancellations and reservation changes, based upon availability, can also be made via Tock prior to the 7-day cancellation cutoff and based on availability.
• Once all reservations have been booked for a brunch, you will be provided the opportunity to be placed on a waitlist via Tock by selecting “Notify”.

A gluten-free menu is available at an additional charge of $6.00 per person. Peanut or dairy free menus are also available at an additional charge of $4.00 per person. Please select these menus at the time of booking online.

• These are timed reservations.

• Holiday tea is not served on Sunday.

The Jefferson Hotel is known for its iconic public spaces and beautiful backdrops for holiday photographs.  While we enjoy sharing these with everyone who visits, we are also strongly committed to privacy, safety and overall experience of our overnight, dining, and event guests. Due to the large number of photography requests, we ask for your cooperation in following these photography guidelines:

Hotel Guest and Visitor Photography
Guests of the hotel and visitors are invited to capture casual, candid images on their mobile phones or hand-held cameras for personal (non-commercial) use following these guidelines:   
Please be considerate of other hotel guests and respectful of their privacy.
Please do not interfere with hotel operations or use flash photography.
Doorways, walkways, entrances/exits, and elevators may not be blocked for any reason.
For your safety and that of other guests, photography standing on, at the top of, or at the bottom of the Grand Staircase is strictly prohibited.
Please do not move, rearrange, or stand on furniture. 

Professional photography and personal photo shoots are not permitted, including but not limited to family portraits, graduation, prom, homecoming, proposals, engagements, anniversaries, and birthdays. Photography that involves wardrobe changes and/or the use of professional photography equipment, including tripods, lighting equipment, and/or reflectors is considered professional photography and is not permitted.
The Jefferson Hotel is private property and reserves the right to discontinue any photography or videography at any time. Third-party photographers are not given permission to photograph, and these individuals may be asked to leave the premises.
